We are looking for a Payroll Analyst who will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our rapidly-growing team. They will manage all aspects of payroll, including data entry, tax calculations, compliance, and serve as a subject matter expert for employee questions about payroll. They will administer and optimize our current payroll platform (Gusto) while staying abreast of emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in the payroll industry to position AndHealth for continued growth.


What you’ll do in the role:
  • Facilitate seamless weekly payroll processing for 100+ employees using Gusto.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, taxes, and deductions; Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Provide ongoing and support and configuration/optimization of the payroll platform.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and taxes.
  • Manage year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution and 1099-related tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations, and Federal, State and Local tax withholdings.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and escalate / implement changes as needed.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends, errors, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and summaries to inform management decisions.
  • Partner with HR team on benefits/total rewards and 401(k) initiatives.
  • Assist with accounting related tasks such as recording vendor bills and processing payments (i.e. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable – AP/AR tasks).
  • Other responsibilities as necessary to meet evolving business needs.

Education & Licensure Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

Other Skills or Qualifications:
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and administration; Strong knowledge of payroll and tax principles, regulations, and 401(k) aministration.
  • Exposure to working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Accounts Payable/Receivable, and experience working on special accounting projects (month-end close, etc.) preferred.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, preferably Gusto; working knowledge of additional leading payroll platforms (UKG, Workday, ADP, etc.) and QuickBooks preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on both Mac and PC computers using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, etc.) IM/video conferencing (Slack, Teams, and Zoom), and telephones efficiently. 
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup and/or high-growth company environment preferred.
