We are looking for a Floating Central Pharmacist to play an important role at AndHealth supporting our retail and specialty pharmacies in Indiana. This position will be based out of our pharmacy in Noblesville, Indiana
This position will report to the Senior Director of Partner Operations. In the absence of the Senior Director of Partner Operations, this position will report to the next level manager unless otherwise defined or assigned.
What you’ll do in the role:
- Support onsite retail and specialty pharmacy teams by filling in during busy times or supporting PTO coverage.
- Act as a member of AndHealth’s central pharmacy team when not floating to a specific on-site CHC pharmacy location.
- Verify the accuracy of prescription information (pre-check) for use on prescription labels as well as third-party submissions for on-site pharmacies.
- Support specialty pharmacy workflows, including ensuring medication access for patients through financial assistance programs, supporting prior-authorizations, and solving patient issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with Central Patient Engagement Specialists (pharmacy techs) on escalations and pharmacist-specific activities.
- Support 340B inventory management for on-site pharmacies, including the re-adjudication of claims for outside specialists.
- Engage with all members of a patient’s care team to provide high-touch clinical care for patients.
- Regularly review and be familiar with clinical guidelines and literature necessary to manage patients’ specialty pharmacy care appropriately.
- Appropriately review patients’ therapy for therapeutic duplications, drug interactions, and potential allergies.
- Actively manage and address adherence issues for patients with complex medication regimens.
- Review payor formularies and complete prior authorizations and appeals as necessary for patients.
- Obtain and document all required information in specialty pharmacy software as required to maintain specialty accreditation.
- Participate in Quality Management Committees (QMC) and contribute to the collection of clinical outcomes data for URAC/ACHC reporting.
- Precept for pharmacy interns and students if needed.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- PharmD, BS in Pharmacy, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP).
- Unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Indiana.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses in multiple states.
Other Skills or Qualifications:
- 3+ years of direct patient care experience in pharmacy is preferred.
- BLS/CPR is required (or must be willing to obtain within 1 month after starting).
- Immunization delivery certification is preferred.
- 2+ years of specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
- PGY1 residence or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.
- Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.
- The position may require some travel. Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.

Additional Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or Blood Titers proving immunity.
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or Blood Titers proving.
- Hep B3 Series.
- (Flu) Influenza required.
- COVID Vaccine required.
- Additional health requirements may also be required.
