As we rapidly scale our team, we are looking for an experienced Director, People Operations. You will play a pivotal role in creating a culture that attracts and retains elite talent, allows our employees to realize their full potential and enables our teams to stay focused on delivering incredible results for our patients and partners.

What you’ll do in the role:
  • The Director, People Operations will be empowered to leverage their expertise to develop a world-class HR function
  • This role requires a goal-oriented self-starter with exceptional judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • You will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizational culture, employee experience and ultimately our ability to build a massively impactful company
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Performance Management: Oversee performance management processes, including regular performance reviews and goal setting. Providing coaching and development support to managers and employees through expectation reset conversations and progressive improvement plans.
    • Talent Management: Conduct regular talent reviews with leaders to align on high potential talent, development plans, succession plans and risks within teams and across the organization.
    • Onboarding & Training: Coordinate the onboarding process post offer acceptance through company orientation, accelerating employee readiness and ensuring a smooth handoff to the hiring manager Support other training initiatives as needed.
    • Engagement & Retention: Develop and implement strategies to boost employee morale, engagement, and retention, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Design and administer employee surveys and feedback mechanisms to gauge employee satisfaction, engagement, and areas for improvement.
    • Benefits: Manage benefits programs, including open enrollment, administration, and communication to ensure competitive and attractive employee benefits offerings.
    • Compensation: Work with partners and leverage internal and external data sources to develop and maintain competitive salary ranges, commission plans, and incentive structures that align with industry standards and company goals.
    • Job Leveling: Establish and maintain a clear job leveling framework to ensure consistent and fair job classifications, internal mobility and career progression paths.
    • Handbook: Partner with compliance to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive employee policies and a robust employee handbook that aligns with company values and legal requirements while satisfying external partner requirements.
    • Business Partnership: serve as the primary HR point of contact for a subset of leaders, in partnership with SVP People.
    • Compliance & Legal: Ensure all HR practices and policies comply with local, state, and federal regulations, staying abreast of changes in employment law and best practices. Partner with senior leaders and external legal partners on complaints, investigations and other legal matters.
Education & Licensure Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Other Skills or Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR with a strong background in People Operations, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies, performance management systems, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve complex problems in a fast-paced setting.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
