We are looking for an experienced IT Director to join our team in our Columbus office. This full-time position plays a critical role and will report to the SVP of Finance. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the IT systems that support our clinical and pharmacy teams. Your role will involve managing IT integrations and projects with healthcare partners, overseeing general IT, Security, and Networking needs and teams, and guiding the IT roadmap for a quickly growing healthcare startup. We seek someone with a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems.

What you'll do in the role:

Infrastructure Design & Deployment:
  • Design and deploy enterprise-level hardware and software systems that support the organization’s operations and future growth.
  • Ensure the IT infrastructure is optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
Security & Compliance:
  • Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard the workplace and IT systems.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team on daily operations and projects, including SOC 2 compliance.
  • Evaluate technology risks and establish a disaster recovery plan and backup procedures to ensure business continuity.
Budget & Procurement:
  • Work with the finance department to prepare and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring all expenditures are cost-effective and within budget.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate, select, and implement hardware, software, and collaboration tools that meet the company’s needs.
Project Management:
  • Lead and manage ad-hoc IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the IT setup of new pharmacy locations, including the setup of servers, workstations, internet, wifi, IVR, telephone systems, printer and fax lines and other essential technologies.
  • Work with the facility team members to coordinate the ordering, receiving, and setup of furniture and equipment for pharmacy locations and staff.
Partnerships:
  • Oversee integrations with new healthcare partners, ensuring that timelines, security needs, and business needs are all being built into the project plan.
  • Partner with SVP, Provider & Community Partnerships, and VP, Pharmacy to address the IT needs of our customers and ensure smooth operations.
People Management:
  • Lead a team across disciplines including security and infrastructure to ensure that the right people are working on the right things and focusing on the growth of both the company and the individuals you support.
  • Plan for and oversee team growth, ensuring that we’re thinking ahead to scale your team with the needs of the business.

Here’s what we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT management, preferably within a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and experience ensuring compliance.
  • Proven track record in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-level hardware and software systems.
  • Proficient with macOS, Windows, and Linux platforms
  • Strong understanding of networks and databases, including configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Ability to lead IT projects and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security.
