We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our team in our Columbus office. This full-time position plays a critical role and will report to the Director, IT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to support both internal and external customers effectively.

What you'll do in this role:
User Management & Training:

  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for employees, including provisioning and managing user accounts and laptops.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training for new users to ensure they are equipped to utilize company systems effectively.
Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to company staff, including troubleshooting computer problems and investigating technical issues.
  • Take full ownership of issues from identification to resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Daily Operations Management:
  • Manage the day-to-day IT operations, including user access, permissions, and peripheral device management (e.g., printers, physical security readers).
  • Oversee the configuration and maintenance of networking equipment, including network switches, access points, and firewalls.
  Communication & Escalation:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications regarding IT-related issues.
  • Manage escalation processes to ensure timely and effective resolution of IT concerns.
  Collaboration:
  • Partner with Director, IT, Sr. Security Engineer, and Compliance teams to ensure standards are being met and timelines hit.
  • Work across teams to propose and implement technical solutions to complicated problems.

Here’s what we are looking for:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on infrastructure and operations.
  • Proven track record in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-level hardware and software systems.
  • Proficient with macOS, Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring IT security protocols, with experience in compliance frameworks such as SOC 2.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead IT projects and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security.
  • Excited by technology and innovation and thrive on working in an environment that is full of change and discovery.
  • Strong understanding of networks and databases.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage work and deadlines independently and under pressure
