We are looking for a Floater Patient Engagement Specialist to play an important role at AndHealth. This is an onsite position located at our Health Center partner sites in Indiana.
What you’ll do in the role:
- Regional Multi-Site Mobility: Serve as a versatile resource across a designated district, traveling to various pharmacy locations to provide critical staffing support and maintain operational excellence during peak volumes or personnel shortages.
- Prescription Processing: Accurately input patient data, insurance information, and prescriptions into the pharmacy management system.
- Fulfillment: Count, pour, and label medications efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Customer Experience: Assist patients at the pickup counter, resolving insurance rejections and providing clear communication regarding medication status.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stocking, cycle counts, and managing outdated inventory across different locations.
- Prior Authorization Coordination: Assist the pharmacist in gathering clinical documentation and submitting prior authorizations for high-cost specialty drugs.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and manufacturers to help patients access financial assistance programs or copay cards.
- Adherence Monitoring: Conduct outreach calls to specialty patients to schedule refills and ensure they are following their prescribed therapy.
- Cold Chain Management: Ensure proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive biologics and specialty injectables.
- Other: Assist the central pharmacy team and coordinate other projects based on business needs.
Education & Licensure Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained or willing to obtain.
- Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of IN required.
- Nationally certified - PTCB or ExCPT required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses or certifications in multiple states.
Other Skills or Qualifications:
- 3+ years of pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.
- Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.
- Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.
- Must be organized and able to work independently.

Additional Requirements:
- Tuberculosis (TB) Screening: Documentation of a negative screening conducted within the last 12 months.
- Hepatitis B: Proof of a completed vaccine series or a positive blood titer result from within the last 12 months.
- Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR): Proof of a completed vaccine series or positive blood titers from within the last 12 months.
- Varicella (Chickenpox): Proof of vaccination, documented medical history of the disease, or positive blood titers from within the last 12 months.
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis): Documentation of a booster administered within the last 10 years.
- Influenza: Proof of vaccination for the current flu season.
- COVID-19: Documentation of primary vaccine series and any boosters administered.
- General: Additional health requirements may be requested as necessary.
